A cousin to chapati, roti is another unleavened flatbread cooked on a hot griddle. It’s soft, pliable, and works well with savory fillings or as a side dish. In fact, it can be found at street food markets around the world, being served with more than just savory fillings. It’s not uncommon to find this style of bread being served with Nutella and banana or even strawberries and whipped cream! Because it uses no oil or yeast, it’s quick to prepare anytime.
