Cook Spaghetti In A Pan

It turns out you can actually cook your spaghetti in a pan faster than the time it takes to cook in a pot. Try this easy trick next time: first add the pasta to a dry pan. Pour in cold water until the pasta is covered. Turn the heat to medium-high and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. The water will be absorbed by the time the spaghetti is done cooking, which in total should take about 15 minutes. Doing this shaves off 5 minutes of overall cooking time, saves water and requires no straining. Your pasta will still be nicely coated with the cooking liquid, so you can add your sauce to the pan, and voila!
