Fruit smoothies
Although fruit smoothies can be perfectly tailored to your tastes, there are a few things to keep in mind if you want that just-right texture and for them to serve their healthy purpose of keeping you full and satisfied. Avoid using fresh fruit and adding ice, which results in yucky, watered-down smoothies. Use frozen fruit instead. Also, make sure to incorporate a protein source, such as healthy nut butters to make the drink more satiating. And whatever you do, don't add sugar—fruits have all the sweetness you need.
