Rabbit and Polenta for babies 12+ months

  • 1 oz polenta (similar to corn meal)
  • 1 oz rabbit
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 small knob of butter

Preparation

Step 1

Peel and cut the carrot and rabbit into thin slices. Steam until both are cooked through, about 20 minutes. Blend the carrot and rabbit together in a food processor or using a hand mixer.

Step 2

Meanwhile, add the milk to a small saucepan. Add the butter and bring to a simmer on low heat.

Step 3

Sprinkle the polenta into the milk slowly and cook for a few minutes on low heat, while constantly stirring with a wooden spoon until the mixture becomes thick. Once thickened, immediately take the pan off the heat.

Step 4

Spread the polenta into a bowl. Top with the carrot/rabbit puree. Serve warm.

This recipe can be easily adapted for parents too! Simply skip the step of blending the carrots and rabbit. Also, for more flavor, you can pan fry the rabbit instead of steaming it.
