Brewer's yeast doesn't get its name by chance. It's an active ingredient in beer production, but unlike beer, it's kind to the body.
The yeast comes is made from the dried cells of Saccharomyces cerevisiae (a fungus), and a rich source of B-complex vitamins, proteins, and minerals, and can be bought in the form of powder or tablets at the pharmacy — also unlike beer!
