She may be an actress, but Meghan Markle is a foodie at heart. Known for her role as Rachel Zane on the popular television series Suits, Markle makes sure to pay stricter attention to eating habits while she's filming. In a 2015 interview, she said that she mainly sticks to a vegan diet during the week but allows herself more flexibility on the weekend. Her one weakness: French fries, and anything carbs!

Meal Plan

While she's on a tight filming schedule, Meghan Markle will usually stick to a lighter breakfast of steel-cut oats with agave syrup and chopped bananas. On more relaxed days, she fills up on omelets and toast. For added nutrition and a burst of energy, she swears by a cup of green juice in the afternoon.

One of her favorite recipes is for Ina Garten's roast chicken, which she and Prince Harry were reportedly eating when he proposed. The celebrity chef even tweeted the couple her congratulations, stating, "I always knew roast chicken had magic powers!! I'm so happy for both of you!"

Namaste

Above all else, Markle believes in the importance of balance. She's an avid fan of yoga and its many health benefits, such as increased muscle strength, lower stress and anxiety levels, and better sleep at night. She defines the practice as "the balance between desiring more and being content with what is." But seeing her radiant smile when she announced her engagement, it's hard to imagine what would make her even happier!
