Spicy Pulled Pork Sandwich

An American classic, this crockpot fave is best served stuffed in buns, served alongside a creamy slaw. Perfect if you're hosting a summer barbecue, as even the pickiest of eaters are sure to enjoy the mix of sweet and savory flavors.

Ingredients (for 8 people):

  • 1 lb. roasted pork (cubed)
  • 355 ml cola
  • 1 oz. hot and spicy taco seasoning mix
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 3 tbsp sriracha sauce
  • 8 hamburger buns

Instructions:

  1. Put the pork in a slow cooker, and pour over the cola. Cook on low-heat for 6 hours.
  2. In a bowl, mix the seasoning mix, barbecue sauce and sriracha sauce. This is best done 15 min. before the pork is ready.
  3. Using a slotted laddle, transfer the pork from the slow cooker onto a chopping board.
  4. Using a knife and fork, shread the moist pork.
  5. Mix the pork into the mixed sauces and stir well.
  6. Spoon the pork mixture on to buns and enjoy!
