Is there anything more delicious than homemade marinated chicken drumsticks? A tasty weekend recipe that friends and family will love. The marinade is delicious and quick to prepare.
Ingredients (serves 6)
12 chicken drumsticks
2 cloves garlic
1 1/4 cups beer
6 tbsp ketchup
5 tbsp olive oil
5 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
3 limes
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Wash the 12 chicken drumsticks and pat them dry with paper towels.
Peel and press or finely chop the garlic. Mix it with the remaining ingredients (except for the chicken drumsticks and limes) in a bowl to create the marinade. Season with a bit of salt and pepper.
Place the chicken pieces in a resealable container and pour the marinade over them. It's best if all the drumsticks are evenly coated. Let them marinate for a few hours or overnight.
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Remove the drumsticks from the marinade and let them drain a bit. Place them on a baking sheet and grill for about 20-25 minutes, turning occasionally, until the drumsticks are nicely dark brown and cooked through.
Cut the limes into wedges and serve together with the chicken pieces so that everyone can add a few drops of lime juice to the drumsticks for an extra kick.
