Bright, fresh, and full of flavor, these party-ready skewers are a delightful bite-sized version of the classic Italian salad. Sweet cherry tomatoes, creamy mozzarella balls, and fragrant basil leaves are threaded onto skewers and drizzled with vibrant pesto. Perfect for a fresh, no-fuss appetizer that’ll add a burst of color to your Easter spread.
Ingredients (for 12 skewers):
12 cherry tomatoes
12 mini mozzarella balls (bocconcini)
12 fresh basil leaves
2 tbsp pesto (store-bought or homemade)
Salt and pepper, to taste
Optional: balsamic glaze for drizzling
Instructions:
On each skewer (or toothpick), thread one cherry tomato, one mozzarella ball, and one basil leaf, in that order. Repeat for all 12 skewers.
Arrange the skewers on a platter. Drizzle with pesto and season with a little salt and pepper to taste.
Optional: Drizzle with balsamic glaze for an extra touch of sweetness and tang. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.
