Banana Hazelnut Panini

Crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, and naturally sweet, these grilled banana hazelnut sandwiches are a comforting treat! Lightly grilled to perfection, they’re a sweet, melty treat perfect for brunch, dessert, or an afternoon pick-me-up.

Ingredients (for 2 sandwiches):

  • 4 slices brioche or sturdy white bread
  • 2 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 4 tbsp hazelnut spread (like Nutella)
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 pinch cinnamon (optional)
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Spread hazelnut spread evenly on all 4 slices of bread.
  2. Layer banana slices over two of the bread slices. Sprinkle with a pinch of cinnamon, if desired. Top with remaining slices to form sandwiches.
  3. Butter the outsides of both sandwiches on one side, then flip and butter the other sides.
  4. Heat a nonstick skillet or grill pan over medium heat. Grill sandwiches for about 2–3 minutes per side, pressing gently with a spatula, until the bread is golden and the filling is warm and melty.
  5. Remove from the pan, let cool slightly, and slice in half. Dust with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.
