This colorful and creepy-cute fruit platter is perfect for Halloween parties, after-school snacks, or a fun family activity. Made entirely from fresh fruit and a drizzle of melted white chocolate, this healthy treat brings festive flair without the sugar overload.
Ingredients (for 4–6 servings):
2 bananas
1/4 cup white chocolate chips (for melting)
2 apples, sliced into quarters
2 tbsp almond slivers
4–6 lychees (canned or fresh)
6 blueberries
2 clementines or tangerines
1 cup green and red grapes
Candy or edible eyes (small and large)
Instructions:
Make the Banana Mummies:
Peel and cut bananas in half. Melt the white chocolate in the microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring between each interval.
Drizzle melted chocolate over the bananas using a spoon or piping bag to create “mummy wraps.”
Add candy eyes before the chocolate hardens. Chill for 5–10 min to set.
Make the Apple Monster Mouths:
Cut apples into quarters and remove the core. Spread a thin layer of peanut butter or lemon juice (optional, to prevent browning).
Insert almond slivers into the middle to look like teeth.
Press two apple slices together at an angle to form an open “mouth.” Add candy eyes on top if desired.
Make the Spooky Eyeballs:
Place a blueberry inside each lychee to form a “pupil.” Stick on a candy eye for an extra spooky look.
Make the Clementine Pumpkins:
Peel clementines and insert a small piece of green grape or celery into the top to look like a pumpkin stem.
Assemble the Platter:
Arrange all fruit creations on a large wooden board or platter. Scatter extra blueberries and grapes around for color and texture.
