This healthier spin on a candy bar favorite layers almond flour shortbread, peanut butter caramel, and dark chocolate. All the flavor, none of the additives.
Ingredients (for 16 bars):
1 cup almond flour
2 tbsp coconut oil, melted
1 tbsp maple syrup
1/2 cup natural peanut butter
1/4 cup maple syrup (for caramel)
1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix almond flour, coconut oil, and 1 tbsp maple syrup. Press into a lined loaf pan and bake for 10-12 min.
Heat peanut butter and 1/4 cup maple syrup in a saucepan until thickened. Spread over the cooled crust.
Melt the chocolate and spread it over the top. Chill until firm.
