Ingredients (for 2 dozen):
½ cup butter, softened
¾ cup sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
¼ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
1 cup chopped gumdrops (non-spice variety), lightly floured
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; mix well.
Combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to creamed mixture.
Fold in gumdrops.
Drop by tablespoonfuls onto baking sheets. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
