Sampaio later outed the magazine in an Instagram post that quickly went viral. She stated that she had often faced similar situations in the past. She wrote, "Many times, I was showed nude images of myself as examples to coerce me into posing nude, and whenever I stood my ground and refused, I was criticized and judged as being difficult."

She likened this to how a woman decides who she wants to kiss: just because you might have kissed plenty of guys in the past, that doesn't oblige you to kiss another guy in the future. The same should hold true for models and their decision regarding whether to expose their bodies.
