Salted Chocolate CHip Cookie Baklava

Baklava is a popular Middle Eastern pastry made of flaky phyllo pastry and is usually filled with chopped nuts, syrup or honey. This version still uses phyllo dough, but it takes things up a notch with the addition of classic chocolate chip cookie ingredients. Topped with a homemade vanilla simple syrup and a bit of flaked sea salt, it's a fancier way to indulge in this modest dessert.
