Pie

Pie is one of the most instantly recognizable desserts. Pie has a flaky crust on the bottom sometimes on top, too. When it has a top and bottom crust, pie is usually filled with fruit. The defining feature of pie however, is the pan it's baked in. Pie pans are taller than tart pans and sloped, too. Pie is normally served in the same pan it was baked in.
