Passing food the wrong way

When you're eating food family-style with large dishes to be passed around and served to each person, there is a correct direction to go in. Don't pass food across the table or keep switching directions with each dish. Instead, always pass food to your right, to avoid confusion on who's been served what or having someone get two dishes at once. You can also designate one person to serve everyone, especially when dealing with hot dishes.
