Caramel Apple Pie

All my favorite things in a pie shell!
- For the pie:
- 2 pie shells for a deep dish pie
- 6 apples
- 1 t cinnamon
- 1/4 C sugar
- 1/4 t salt
- 2 T butter (room temperature)
- 2 T flour
- 1/3 C dark corn syrup
- Topping
- 1/4 C brown sugar
- 2 T flour
- 2 T butter (room temperature)
- 1/4 C dark corn syrup
Chicken with Cauliflower and Apples

With just a few ingredients and one baking sheet you can have a wonderful dinner on the table in under an hour!
- 4 bone in skin on chicken thighs (about 2 pounds)
- 1/2 head green cabbage (about 1/2 pound) cut into 1 1/2 inch pieces
- 4 sprigs of thyme
- 1/2 head of cauliflower cut into medium florets
- 1 T extra virgin olive oil
- salt and pepper
- 2 Pink Lady or Cameo apples cut into 1/2 inch wedges
Freezer-Friendly Apple Pie Filling

"When I have apples galore at my house
- 2/3 cup white flour
- 1 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon, or to taste
- 6 to 6 1/2 cups peeled and thinly sliced apples
- Pie tin
- plastic wrap and foil
- 1 gallon freezer bag
