I don't remember where I found this recipe but it beats all the others we have tried

  • 2 cups all purpose white flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon bking powder
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 LARGE sweet onion (we also have used N.Y.BOLD onions)
  • Vegetable oil for deep frying

  • 1 (20 oz) can crushed pineapple, drain and reserve the juice
  • 1 (15 ounce) can mandarin oranges, drained with juice reserved
  • 1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 7 ounces miniature marshmallows
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs beaten

  • 3 Tablespoons all purpose white flour

A sure to please breakfast no matter how many join you that you set into motion the night before

  • 1 pound ground pork sausage (if you like it with a zip use ground hot Italian sausage )
  • 6 slices white bread, toasted and cut into bite size cubes
  • ½ pound shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon mustard powder (I have replaced it in a pinch with 2 teaspoons prepared mustard)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 4 large eggs, beaten well
  • 2 cups milk
