  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups oats
  • 2 cups coconut
  • 2 cups sifted flour
  • 3 tbsp boiling water
  • 2 tbsp golden syrup
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup/4oz chocolate

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350•
Prepare a 9x13" pan

Step 2

Beat butter and sugar, until creamy.

Mix the oats, coconut and flour in a bowl, put aside.

Step 3

Mix water, syrup and baking soda together and immediately add to the creamy mixture. Mix in dry ingredients.

Press mixture into pan, level the mixture by rolling a glass over it.

Step 4

Bake until golden.

Immediately put chocolate over the hot biscuit, and allow it to melt, while spreading the chocolate evenly over the biscuits.
Decorate the chocolate with chopped nuts, grated mint chocolate, or coconut.

Allow it to cool before cutting into squares.
