China - Youtiao

Youtiao is an irresistible deep-fried specialty, also known as the Chinese cruller or Chinese fried churro. Made from wheat flour, it has an airy composition, crispy texture and slightly savory flavor. It's a breakfast favorite in China, commonly dipped in soy milk, congee, or served alongside sticky rice. Some locals also make shaobing (a type of flatbread) and wrap them up like a sandwich. The consensus? They're delicious and can be eaten just about any which way.
