Vietnam - Pho

Pho is one of Vietnam's most beloved breakfast dishes, made with a rich, fragrant bone broth, chewy rice noodles, an abundance of fresh herbs and beef or chicken. The comforting soup originated sometime in the 20th century and was sold by street vendors carrying shoulder poles equipped with mobile kitchens that contained all the material and ingredients necessary to cook the dish. Today, it's sold at street food restaurants in casual surroundings.

In occidental countries where pho has become popular, it's commonly enjoyed for lunch or dinner, but many Vietnamese still prefer it for breakfast, and most vendors sell out by 10 am. everyday.
