Sweet, salty, and just a little crispy, this combo of Brussels sprouts and bacon is a fall favorite. A quick maple glaze ties it all together for a dish that's both indulgent and veggie-packed. Serve it on its own or as a hearty side.
Ingredients (for 4 servings):
1 lb Brussels sprouts, halved
4 slices thick-cut bacon, chopped
1 tbsp maple syrup
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions:
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add bacon and cook until crisp. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add Brussels sprouts cut-side down. Cook for 6–8 min. until golden.
Stir, then add maple syrup, salt, and pepper. Cook 2–3 more min.
Return bacon to the pan and toss to coat.
Serve warm with a drizzle of extra maple syrup if desired.
