Moist, herby, and deeply flavorful, this Southern-style dressing brings the aroma of sage and sautéed onions to the table. Made with day-old cornbread and a rich broth, it’s a rustic favorite that pairs perfectly with turkey or ham. Let it sit after baking to develop its full flavor.

  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 tsp dried sage
  • 2 tsp poultry seasoning
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a large baking dish.
  2. Sauté onion and celery in butter until soft.
  3. Combine with cornbread, seasonings, eggs, and broth.
  4. Pour into dish and bake 40–45 minutes, until golden.
