When all the family and their kids come over, don't just find the comfiest chair to park for the next several hours. Instead, catch up with long-lost relatives from on your feet: stand and chat, offer to help out in the kitchen or dining room whenever possible, and play games and get active with the kids.

You'll get bursts of exercise throughout the day without taking a single break from family time, or even realizing how many calories you burn! (Not to mention, you'll definitely be everyone's favorite fun aunt, uncle, or grandparent.)

  • Peanuts
  • Carrot
  • Mango
  • Rocket
  • 2 limes
  • Olive oil
  • Soy sauce
  • Red onion, minced
  • Salt
  • Pepper

 

METHOD

  1. Lightly sautée the peanuts until golden.
  2. Take the carrots and cut into thin slices.
  3. Peel the mango and slice into thin strips.
  4. Squeeze the juice from 2 limes into a bowl, and add olive oil, soy sauce, minced onion, salt and pepper.
  5. In a bowl, toss together the mango, carrot, rocket, and lime-soy dressing.
  6. Enjoy!
