Charlie's Bakery & Chinese Cuisine in Anchorage is a gem of a place that offers a satisfying combination of authentic, rare Chinese fare (pork with pickled noodles soup, taro root dumplings, BBQ eel) and Americanized faves (fried rice, Mongolian beef, chow mein). Portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and the bakery is worth a visit for its sweet and savory selection.
