Oven Tacos

Pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees Brown the Beef and onion in a skillet then drain liquid Add all seasonings AND t
- 2 pounds of ground beef or turkey (turkey is a little healthier and still tasty!)
- 2 cups shredded colby jack cheese
- 1 Package of hard taco shells (24 shells)
- 1/2 of an onion chopped (or 1 small onion chopped)
- 16 oz Can of refried beans
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 15 oz can of tomato sauce
- Whatever toppings you'd like (Lettuce, Tomatoes, Olives, etc)
- Homemade Taco Seasoning (see below)
- HOMEMADE TACO SEASONING:
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp. onion powder
- 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/4 tsp. oregano
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
- 1 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper

In a 4 quart saucepan, heat oil over medium-high heat
- 1 Tbsp olive or vegetable oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
- 1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper (I always omit this and it still tastes great)
- 1 (10.75 oz) can condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1 (14 oz) can chicken broth
- 1 cup water
- 2 cups diced cooked chicken
- 2 (15.5 oz) cans great northern beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 (4.5 oz) can chopped green chilies, undrained
- 1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves
- 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
- 1/2 cup sour cream, if desired (I love sour cream so I always add it!)

- 1 (10.75 oz) can cheddar cheese soup
- 1 (10.75 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 (10 oz) can tomatoes
- 1 (4 oz) can green chilies
- 1 whole chicken, cooked, boned, and chopped or 4 cups leftover cooked chicken
