Super Simple White Cake

Cream sugar, shortening, and egg yolks
- 3/4 cup shortening
- 1 ½ cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 ½ cup milk
- 2 ½ cup flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- ½ tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. lemon or vanilla
Bread Sticks

Mix and knead for 3 minutes; let rest 10 minutes
- 1 Tbsp. yeast, dissolved in 1 ½ c. warm water
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- ½ tsp. salt
- 3 c. flour
Mother's Rolls

Combine milk and margarine and add yeast mixture
- 1 qt. scalded milk
- ½ pound margarine, melted
- 3 Tbsp. yeast dissolved in 1 pt. warm water
- ½ cup sugar
- 2 Tbsp. salt
- 4 beaten eggs
- 14 cups flour
Tortillas

Divide dough into balls and let rise for a few minutes before rolling out and cooking
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 Tbsp. shortening

Dissolve yeast in ½ cup lukewarm water
- 1 Tbsp. yeast
- ½ c. lukewarm water
- 1 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3/4 cup lukewarm water
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 1 ½-1 ¾ c. flour

Mix shortening and sugar. Add eggs and beat well
- ½ cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups mashed bananas
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- ½ cup chopped nuts
Mom Otteson’s Zucchini Bread

Beat eggs. Add oil, sugar, zucchini, and vanilla
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup oil
- 1 ½ cup sugar
- 3 cups flour
- 1 tsp. soda
- ¼ tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 cups zucchini
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- ½ cup nuts.
Breakfast Cake

Mix batter and put in greased square pan
- Batter:
- 1 ½ cups flour
- ¼ cup shortening
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 egg
- ½ tsp. salt
- ½ cup milk
- ¾ cup sugar
- ½ tsp. vanilla
- Topping:
- 2 Tbsp. soft butter
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup chopped nuts
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
German Pancakes

Melt butter in cake pan. Mix other ingredients and pour into pan
- 6 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- ½ tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. butter, melted

- 12 slices cubed bread (8 cups)
- 8 oz. shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cups cubed cooked ham
- ½ cup chopped onion
- 1 9 oz. pkg. frozen broccoli, drained
- 1 2 oz. jar pimento, drained
- 6 eggs
- ½ tsp. salt
- 3 cups milk
- ¼ tsp. dry mustard
