10. Casa Puga - 1870

Where is it? Almería, south east Spain

Casa Puga is a restaurant located in the city of Almería, in the southeast of Spain. Over the years, it has welcomed both locals and some recognized faces, ranging from celebrities, to artists and politicians.

When originally built, the ground floor stored carriages while the first floor was used as an inn for travellers. It then became a tavern which was later acquired by the Puga family. The place is full of character, with quirky decor and framed photographs of different sizes and postcards hung on the wall, all of which tell the story of its history. The warm atmosphere is nothing but welcoming, with the restaurant still following its original motto, "The best thing about Casa Puga is its customers"!
