Hot Lunch, No Microwave Necessary
Too many times you've looked forward to having a hot sandwich for lunch, only to find that it has gone cold and soggy by the time you're ready to eat it. With this trick, you'll be able to make your sandwich in the morning and keep it hot well into the day.
The trick: use a thermos. These handy bottles keep your coffees, teas, and soups warm — but most people forget they can hold food as well. As you're preparing your sandwich, bring a saucepan full of water to a boil. Then pour the hot water into the thermos and let sit for a few minutes.

Pack Your Sandwich
Once your sandwich is ready, slice it so that it will be able to fit into the thermos. Then wrap it in aluminum foil and pour the water out of the thermos (the inside should be nice and toasty). Place your wrapped sandwich inside and seal. The thermos will retain the heat from the water and keep your sandwich warm until lunch.
Take it with you on the way to work or pack it for your kids to eat at school. While nothing compares to a freshly grilled sandwich, this method ensures that you get that warm and hearty meal that everyone craves come noon!
