Banana, Ginger and Cinnamon Smoothie
This smoothie is magic in a glass, and super quick to make for breakfast! Bananas are not only tasty, but full of potassium which is good for blood pressure and heart health in general. They're also super versatile and can be enjoyed sliced on top of oats, mixed with honey, or even put in a sandwich with a thick layer of peanut butter.
For centuries, ginger has been recognized for its anti-inflammatory properties, while cinnamon is known to help protect the heart from disease. It contains antioxidants that fight oxidative stress, so sprinkling it over anything you fancy will only be good.
Ingredients:
- 1 banana
- 6 oz. natural yogurt
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1/2 tsp freshly grated ginger
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
Instructions:
- Slice the banana, and put into a food blender. If you don't have one, you can use a large bowl and an immersion blender.
- Pour in the yogurt and mix.
- Now add the honey, ginger, and cinnamon and mix again.
- Enjoy!
