Kouign - Amann

Almost unpronounceable, this dessert comes from Brittany (hence the name, which is in the regions traditional language, Breton). The area is a little gray and windy, but lined with wild beaches and cute fishing villages. We also owe crepes, caramel, and cider to Brittany so we think you ought to pay a visit on your next tour de France.

The kouign-amann is round multi-layered cake made with bread dough. It contains layers of butter and sugar and is nothing but delicious!
