Croque Monsieur

Simple but so delicious, the Croque Monsieur is a French staple. It's made using a round of sliced bread, followed by a layer of béchamel sauce, and then topped with ham and cheese. It then goes into the oven to gratin (commonly know to us as "lightly brown"!)

Children love it, and so do we. Try our baked dumpling versions of the traditional recipe here.
