Homemade Mayonnaise
Have you ever made mayonnaise yourself? It's easier than you think! The most important tool for perfect mayonnaise is a blender.
Ingredients (serves 2):
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 tbsp white wine vinegar
- 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup vegetable or canola oil
Instructions:
- Add the egg yolks, white wine vinegar, mustard, salt, and 2 tbsp of vegetable oil to the blender container. Secure the lid tightly.
- Blend on low speed for about 60 seconds, then stop.
- Slowly pour in the remaining oil while blending continuously. The slower the oil is added, the thicker the mayonnaise will become.
- Mayonnaise tastes best when fresh, but you can store it in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
