Hot Dogs

How about setting up a Hot Dog Bar for your evening together? This way, everyone can make their own hot dog whenever they get hungry and enjoy it. Whether it's for a game night or a movie.

Ingredients (serve 6)

  • 6 hot dog buns
  • 2 onions
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 1 tomato
  • 6 pickles
  • 6 pepperoncini (jarred or fresh)
  • 12 hot dog sausages (or vegetarian alternative)
  • Sauces: mustard, ketchup, mayonnaise, hot dog sauce

Instructions

  1. Peel the onions. Dice one and put the pieces in a bowl. Slice the other into rings, fry them in oil until crispy, and place them in a bowl as well.
  2. Wash the bell pepper and tomato, then dice them. Place them in separate bowls.
  3. Drain the pickles and pepperoncini, then slice them. Place them in two separate bowls.
  4. Shortly before the guests arrive, set everything up and warm the sausages in a pot with some water. Place the sausages on a trivet with the sauces and other ingredients, and let everyone assemble their hot dogs as they like.
