Psoriasis is a disease that causes Sophia's skin to crack, sometimes even bleed, and puts her in enormous amounts of pain. Since she was a child, she has struggled with insecurities about her skin and her appearance, but over the years she has learned to accept her body as it is.
"My skin often cracks and bleeds which causes me so much pain but now I've learnt how to cover my face properly, I love doing my make-up and it gives me something to focus on."
Sophia will be the first to admit that, with makeup, no one can even see her disease. However, she wants to remind others that what you see at first sight isn't always the reality.
She faced this harsh truth herself when, at just 17 years old, her boyfriend saw what her skin really looked like and left her.
