ROAD OF THE YUNGAS OR ROAD OF THE DEATH (BOLIVIA)
Built by Paraguayan prisoners, covered in landslides and potholes, and flanked by graves and 2000 ft. sheer drops, it comes as no surprise that this infamous road is nicknamed "The Road of Death". Prior to 2008, this route claimed over 300 lives per year, until a safer highway opened nearby. Many bus drivers still prefer this road due to better hazard pay.
