What Order To Eat The Sushi

Although in Japan the dishes are typically served all at once, there is an order when it comes to eating them that you should respect. The reason for this is very simple: Japanese cuisine is based on the subtle combination of colors, aromas, and flavors, so you have to go in a progressive order so that your palate can appreciate every bite and flavor sensation.

Therefore, to eat sushi right, you should always start with the nigiri and finish with the maki, which are smaller. On top of this, make sure you always start by eating the lighter fish and gradually move toward the stronger ones, such as salmon or bluefin tuna.
