Put the water and ashes in a pot on the stove, on low heat. Stir well and let it cook for about two hours.
Now lay the white cloth on top of a bucket and pour the liquid through it. This will filter out any residues and impurities.
Heat the olive oil in a separate pot at around 90° F and let it cook.
In a different container, add the starch and about 2 cups of the water-and-ash liquid from the bucket. Pour the remaining liquid from the bucket into the pot with the oil.
Once both mixtures are thoroughly stirred, combine them and mix them together well with a wooden spoon.
Add in a few drops of scented essential oils.
Pour the mixture into molds, then let it rest and solidify for a minimum of 2 weeks.
