Dry Ingredients
If you want to be health conscious or have dietary restrictions, you may be tempted to substitute regular flour with its many alternatives. However, all-purpose flour has a vastly different chemical composition then, say, buckwheat or almond flour. Instead of plugging them into a regular flour recipe, try searching for recipes that specifically call for these flour alternatives. Another good tip is to sift your flour when adding to your dry ingredients. This makes the flour lighter, helping it blend better with the rest of the batter's components.
