It's Cheap And Easy To Cultivate

Sorghum is actually an ancient grain that's been produced for more than 4,000 years. It's drought-resistant, making it an especially popular crop in drier climates, and there are multiple varieties: grain sorghum, sweet sorghum, forage sorghum and biomass sorghum, which is actually employed as a resource for renewable energy. The cost of seeds is also generally pretty low, so it can be quite cheap to produce.
