Burnt Cake

Have you ever made a cake that came out with burnt edges? The timing might have been off, or your oven could be a lot stronger than the one used in the recipe. As long as it's not overcooked by hours, you can save the cake by scraping off the burnt sides with a lemon zester or sharp knife. Once you reach the layer underneath the burnt part, you can cover it up with frosting or fruit, and no one will be the wiser!
