1. Greasy foods

Whether it's fried chicken, fish, fries, you name it, greasy foods and beautiful hair don't go hand in hand. This is because our scalp releases sebum, a substance that helps keep the skin moisturized but can also turn greasy from the consumption of oily foods. Not only does this make your hair look dirty, but it also causes the grease to block your hair follicles, making it more difficult for hair to grow. On top of that, diets rich in saturated and monounsaturated fats may increase levels of testosterone, which creates dihydrotestosterone, an androgen and hormone linked to alopecia (the autoimmune disorder that causes your hair to fall out).
