Cream together shortening an sugar
- 2/3 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Grated peel of 1 lemon
Devil Food Cake

Grease a round cake pan, sprinkle with 1 tsp cocoa powder
- 1 pkg Devil Food Cake mix
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 pkg instant chocolate powder
- 1 tsp cocoa powder
- I cup caramel and chocolate chips
