  • - 2 1/4 pounds potatoes cooked in their skins
  • - 4 cups flour fine
  • - salt
  • - Fat or butter

Step 1

Cook potatoes and grate. Add flour and salt. Form into patties and cook on the stove with butter. When the potato cake is cook you can top them with cheese, jam, or whatever you prefer.

  • 5 large potatoes
  • 1/2 cup parsley
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup cilantro
  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • Sour cream


  1. Boil and drain the potatoes
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the potatoes with parsley, minced garlic, cilantro,  shredded cheese and milk.
  3. Mash the mixture thoroughly. 
  4. Shape into palm-sized balls, then flatten on a sheet pan
  5. Put in oven for 20 min at 355° F
  6. Layer, spreading generously with sour cream
  7. Garnish, and enjoy!
