Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp neutral oil
  • 250g / 2 cups pork fillets, cubed
  • 1 /4 cup caramel
  • 100ml / 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tbsp Vietnamese fish sauce (Nuoc Cham)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger
  • Crushed peanuts

Method

  1. Brown the pork fillet in a skillet with the oil
  2. Add the caramel, water,  fish sauce, soy sauce and fresh ginger.
  3. Simmer for 10 minutes (until the liquid has reduced)
  4. Serve over white rice with crushed peanuts. 
  5. Enjoy!

Cabbage andd steak

  • cabbage and cube steak and onions with homemade sofrito and recato and sazon and small can tomato sauce dash salt and pepper . sauté cabbage and onions for 10 minutes add the sauce the steak and other ingrediants and let cook for half hour yummy.

Heat up oil, cook onions till clear

  • 3 cups rice
  • 1 small jar olives (I get the ones already sliced to make it easier)
  • 1 can of gondules beans (pigeon peas) or you can use any kind of beans you like
  • 1/2 small can of tomato sauce
  • 1 small onion(diced)
  • 1 packet sazon
  • 1/4 cup sofrito
  • 2-3tbs adobo
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 2 cups water
