Original Steak & Onion - Big John Steak & Onion (Michigan)

Michigan-based sub chain Big John Steak & Onion has achieved local notoriety, ever since it became the first restaurant to serve sub sandwiches in the city of Flint. Its namesake menu item comes in 6-, 8- or 16-inch sizes and is made with thinly sliced grilled 100% ribeye steak. Served on a fluffy Italian bread roll with banana peppers and grilled onions, it's considered one of the best steak sandwiches around.
