Jane Fonda absolutely owned the L'Oréal catwalk during Paris Fashion Week. In an animal print Balmain gown, she stunned the crowd as she flaunted her youthful figure. You'd never guess that this star will turn 80 in December (she doesn't look a day over 60!). Just how does this former fitness guru stay in shape?

It comes down to two basic rules: healthy eating and regular exercise. After all, her iconic workout videos conquered the world! Here are a few of Jane Fonda's fundamental tips:

  1. Make sure each of your workouts includes aerobic exercises, resistance training, and stretching.
  2. Exercise for at least 30 minutes three times a week.
  3. Reduce the amount of food you consume and increase the amount of time you spend exercising.
  4. Avoid sugar. Instead, opt for healthy snacks and fresh food.
  5. Never skip breakfast. At least one-third of your calorie intake should occur at the start of the day.
