The cures: Practice balanced nutrition, stick to complex carbs, cut back on sugar and work out

The best way to avoid a sugar crash on any given day is to not let your meals be composed of essentially of carbs. Your plate should be 1/4 carbs, 1/4 proteins and 1/2 vegetables (which usually provide more slow-release energy). Also incorporate a small amount of fat into each meal.

For the most sustained, steady flow of energy that won't leave you with hunger pangs between meals, opt for complex carbs (whole-wheat bread, sweet potatoes, beans). Obviously limiting your sugar intake is important to avoid a "sugar" crash, while regular physical exercise helps to keep your energy levels up.
