Honey-glazed grilled chicken is a crowd-pleaser with its perfect balance of smoky, savory, and sweet. The honey caramelizes beautifully over the flames, creating a sticky glaze that locks in juicy flavor with every bite. A touch of garlic and soy sauce adds depth, making this dish irresistible whether you serve it as whole pieces, skewers, or pulled straight from the bone. Ideal for tailgating or backyard cookouts, it’s a recipe that tastes like it took all day but comes together in minutes!
Ingredients (for 4 servings):
2 lbs chicken thighs or drumsticks
1/4 cup honey
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp olive oil
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp salt
Instructions:
In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until smooth.
Place the chicken in a large bowl or resealable bag and pour half the marinade over it. Reserve the other half for glazing. Marinate for at least 30 min. (or up to 4 hours for extra flavor).
Preheat the grill to medium heat. Lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.
Grill the chicken for 6–8 min. per side, brushing with reserved marinade during the last few minutes of cooking.
Cook until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F and the glaze is caramelized and sticky.
